His Vision for us is that our community will recognize Our Savior Lutheran Church as a cornerstone of love and service, making a difference in the lives of families and in our changing community.
Our guests will be welcomed and embraced like family by the friendly people of Our Savior.
They will be nourished by the Word and inspired to know Christ personally.
Our members will gather around the cross, be fed by God’s Word, and taught His truth. We will be eager to witness to God’s love. We will encourage each other, support each other, care for each other; and together, we will share the joys of salvation!
Monday: Pray for the Holy Spirit to help us remember that God gives His blessings because of who He is, not because of anything we can do.
Tuesday: Pray for the Holy Spirit to help us to encourage each other when any of us is discouraged.
Wednesday: Pray for the Holy Spirit to help us show our neighbors what love is, not just tell them what it should be.
Thursday: Pray for the Holy Spirit to help us use our facilities to support our services to all who come to our meetings and worship services.
Friday: Pray for the Holy Spirit to teach us how we should relate to members of other churches in our community.
God led our church fathers to form Our Savior Lutheran Church in 1965, and we have celebrated our 50th anniversary. This first step has placed our congregation on a path that God has prepared for us. He has guided our footsteps as we gathered for worship, Sunday School, Bible classes and fellowship. By His grace, we dedicated our first church building in 1968. God blessed our congregation and our ministry; and, by 1984, a new sanctuary was needed to accommodate our growth. In September 1988, Our Savior Preschool opened with classes for three and four-year-old students.
In 2010, we celebrated a major renovation of our sanctuary, which has been a tremendous blessing for our worship. For over 50 years, God has blessed the family and ministry of Our Savior in a variety of ways as we carry out the mission, “To know Christ personally…and make him known to others.”
Overwhelming support from the congregation for expanding our facility has led us to new spaces and new ministries:
