Sunday School is held in the lower level of Our Savior Lutheran Church. We gather as a group to kick off the Sunday School hour with a few minutes of fellowship and discussion on the highs and lows of our week. Our goal is to make Sunday School an enjoyable experience that leaves children excited to return the next week.
Sunday School is a great opportunity to….
We have a Sunday School Prayer Garden. This “garden” is a bucket of picture sticks where, each week in Sunday School, two students will be picked for the students to include in their prayers. These names will be listed in the prayer section of the bulletin. We pray that this will be an encouragement to the children and a great way to teach and participate in prayer at home.
The Sunday School Children have been working hard this year on our community garden. Through the garden, the children are learning what it means to have a servant heart and how they can grow in their faith. Each week we take a field trip to water the garden, pull the weeds, harvest the vegetables and prepare the vegetables to share with the congregation. Each child has enjoyed learning about each vegetable and much like the plants growing each week, we as children of God also need to continue to grow in our faith.
